Chapuis et Chapuis

Burgundy

Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis operate out of a small cellar in Pommard where they make minimal intervention wines from grapes they grow themselves and also source from trusted growers. The brothers come from the well-known Chapuis winemaking family and have access to some of the region's greatest vineyards (including 1er and Grand Cru sites).

Roman was a flying winemaker for 10 years, traveling all over the world and then returning for a three-year stint making wine for Philippe Pacalet. The Chapuis & Chapuis project started in 2009 with a goal of making serious but approachable natural wines with real drinkability.

Organic grapes, spontaneous fermentations, relatively short aging in old oak. Unfined, unfiltered and small doses of SO2 at bottling (around 20mg/l).
