Chapuis et Chapuis

Burgundy

Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis are brothers based in Ladoix-Serrigny who make a wide range of low intervention wines from right across the Burgundy region . They own parcels in prestigious terroirs such as Savigny, Chorey, Aloxe-Corton, Corton Charlemagne and Bouzeron as well as having access to a wide range of vineyards via their network of trusted growers. Romain takes care of the viticulture and winemaking and Jean Guillaume looks after the day to day running of the business.

Romain was a flying winemaker for 10 years, traveling all over the world and then returning for a three-year stint making wine for Philippe Pacalet. The Chapuis & Chapuis project started in 2009 with a goal of making serious but approachable wines with real drinkability. They have a strong focus on sustainable farming with most of the vineyards being farmed organically. All fermentations are spontaneous, relatively short aging in old oak, unfined, unfiltered and small doses of SO2 added.
