Château le Payral
Neo
A light and fruity, 'chillable' red made from Malbec in the Bergerac region of France, which is around 90km east of Bordeaux. The grapes were picked early and made with semi-carbonic maceration (which is a very popular technique in Beaujolais). After a short 8-day fermentation, the wine had a short aging in stainless steel and was bottled 6 months later. Lots of fresh red fruit flavours, crandberry and rhubarb, light tannins and a juicy, supple palate
