Cairanne 2018
Cairanne is one of the most exciting appellations in the rhone at the moment as it has just been promoted top AOC (cru) status. The next vintage will be labelled Cairanne AOC, wheras this 2017 falls into the catagory of 'Cotes du Rhone Village Cairanne'. It is certainly one to watch. Serious red and black fruits, silky and elegant with some herbs and spices. Length and power without feeling too rich.
